One of the fastest ways to feel the effects from Delta 8 is by vaping. This is because it enters your system a lot quicker when compared to edibles. Here are some helpful pointers if you’re interested in vaping your Delta 8 but don’t know how to start.
Vaping Delta 8 THC
The first thing you will want to do is decide what type of product you want to try. We have different selections based on taste and strain preferences. However, all of our vape products have around the same amount of Delta 8; but what is different is the type of product such as: Cartridges, Disposables, and Pods.
A Delta 8 THC Cartridge is filled with a Delta 8 distillate that you’re able to vape. You’ll need a special device in order to vape this product. You can visit a local vape shop or purchase a cartridge vaporizer battery online; it will need to be a 510 thread that is meant to vape cartridges. Also, most batteries come preset so you don’t have to worry about adjusting the wattage.
The cartridges are not refillable so once you’re finished vaping the Delta 8 you can discard the empty cartridge. We don’t recommend trying to refill an empty cartridge because it can cause a mess and it’s never a good idea to modify any vape product. One of the biggest reasons why Delta 8 Cartridges are so popular is because of the flavors. We use natural occurring Terpenes in order to enhance the experience.
If you’re not interested in investing into hardware we suggest trying a Delta 8 THC Disposable. This is a disposable device that you’re able to vape and discard once finished. The great thing about disposables is that they come preset and ready to vape. However, you will need to recharge the device if it runs out of power.
The device comes with indicator lights which tells you if the device is charged, or if it needs to be charged. Just like the cartridges these are not refillable and we suggest not trying to refill them either. Also, these devices are great for people who are constantly on the go and want to mellow out with some Delta 8. The taste is delicious and the Delta 8 makes for a great experience.
Another product that is great but requires additional hardware are the Delta 8 THC Pods. These are pods that you attach to a My Effex device and vape. When you’re on a product page on the site - it will give you the option to purchase a 1g Pod or 1g Pod + My Effex Device. You will only need to purchase the My Effex device one time. However, the My Effex device is only compatible with Delta Effex pods.
The My Effex device comes preset so you don’t have to worry about the wattage, and the pods are not refillable. If the device runs out of power you will need to recharge it using a Micro USB charger. One thing to keep in mind is that the device doesn’t come with a charger. This product is great for anyone who wants to vape Delta 8 and doesn’t want to look for a separate device elsewhere.
We have 2 different recommendations for vaping our Delta 8 THC. One recommendation is for people who have never used any type of THC - such as Marijuana or Delta 8 products. The second recommendation is for those who have experience with Delta 8 or THC in general.
No Experience with THC
If you have no experience with THC we recommend to start off slow then gradually increase your dosage. You will want to build up a tolerance otherwise you might feel some negative side effects from Delta 8. Although Delta 8 is not as intense as Marijuana it can still feel strong if you don’t have any tolerance.
Therefore, we recommend taking anywhere between 2 - 3 puffs and waiting 15 minutes to see how you feel. The effects can last for about an hour or two, but if you feel that you need more than take another 1 - 2 puffs.
Experience with THC
If you do have some experience with THC such as Marijuana it might not feel as potent. So, we recommend taking anywhere between 4 - 5 puffs to begin with. However, this is based on your tolerance to THC in general. It’s been often said that if Marijuana (Delta 9 THC) takes you 2 puffs to get high - Delta 8 will take you 3 puffs.
This is based on your tolerance, if it’s been a while since you’ve last smoked Marijuana you might want to start off small. Also, it’s important to note that Delta 8 is not Marijuana but it can get you high similar to Marijuana. If this is your case then start off with 2 - 3 puffs and see how you feel.
The Difference in Vaping Delta 8
When you vape Delta 8 you can expect the onset effects to kick in anywhere between 6 - 15 minutes after you’ve finished vaping. Also, the high can last up to 5 hours depending on how much you took. However, the peak effects can last from 30 minutes up to 2 hours. This means you can expect the high to last a good while. The biggest difference between vaping Delta 8 vs. Edibles is how fast the effects take to kick in.
When you take an Edible it can take anywhere between 30 minutes to 1 ½ hours to kick in. This is because your body has to first metabolize the Delta 8 in your system first. The effects can last the same as when you vape Delta 8 but products like our Delta 8 Gummies are a lot more concentrated. This means you will want to take about half a gummy because of how concentrated it is.
The benefit of vaping your Delta 8 is that you get to feel the high a lot quicker when compared to edibles. However, other benefits include the choice in different strains and flavored Terpenes. The biggest difference between all of our Delta 8 Vape products comes down to your preference. Do you want to invest in purchasing additional hardware in order to vape a cartridge or a pod? Or do you prefer a disposable pen? All of our Delta 8 vape products are equally potent and provide a great Delta 8 experience.
